Support it: Most causes of scrotal pain are not serious and can be treated with a little support as in wearing breifs vs. Boxers.  If such treatment is not effective almost immediately as in a couple of days at the most it is always a good idea to go see your pcp for an evaluation.

Hernia: A reducible hernia can be usually pushed back up, as protruding bowel slides down in the scrotum, typically with physical effort, cough or sneeze for example.

Scrotal edema: Depending on your age this can be a sign of fluid overload,  infx, hernia....I advise seeing primary md for veal.

Unlikely cancer: This could be a lot of things but cancer is unlikely. You may have inflammation of the sperm gland, epididymis, or varicocele or lots of other things. See a doctor for a check up. If the pain is severe with nausea, you need to go to er to check for torsion.

Let your doc: Take a look.  It may be from shaving, may be an ingrown hair, or something else.  You need to prevent infection and your doc can determine what it is and help you.  Peace and good health.

: We really need a few more details to give a good answer. If symptoms have a come on suddenly over a couple days or hours, then you should seek immediate medical evaluation by physician. If your discomfort is chronic, having been present for months or longer it could be an inguinal hernia. Examination and evaluation by primary care, physician or urologist for diagnosis

Depends: Mostly on the size of the original hydrocele. If it was very large it will take longer. Even with moderate hydroceles it can take several months after surgerry for the scrotum to shrink back down.

Don't worry if it is: you , and nothing else damaged or removed when repaired every thing will be fine , if both testicles are removed then can not have children
