Different things: It could be arthritis, gout, tendonitis, a bunion forming, or just an infection/inflammation.  If you are having a lot of pain you should have it checked out by your doctor so that whatever is going on can be treated.

Sun exposure?: If they are covering both feet (?) symmetrically- they may be sun spots from sun exposure. If you havent been exposed to the sun and these are new findings, go have them looked at

Depends: There are a number of causes for bone spurs to develop on the outside of the foot.  Among the two most common causes for spurs to occur are either along an arthritic joint or as a result if chronic pressure/irritation.  A bunion être deformity is among the most common causes and the forefoot is widened in that area causing chronic irritation and spurring when rubbing against a shoe.  Get checked.

One : One condition that i often see from patients returning from mexico is berloque dermatitis which is often from lime juice and sunlight. Look it up on the internet and see if this seems possible. If the size of the area is enlarging you may need to be corncerned about an infection and see you doctor sooner.

Foot pain: Congrats for recognizing that your feet are not supposed to hurt!  there can be many different reasons for foot pain.  From arthritis, plantar fasciitis, stress fractures, general foot fatigue, and countless more.  Even the time of day the pain comes can help determine why you are having pain.  You can ask your pcp for a podiatry referral if the pain continues to worsen.

See below: I actually had the same injury.  Sounds like you may have injured your tailbone or "coccyx" . This is the small trail of bones that connect to the end of your sacrum, and form the end of your spine. Usually taking pressure off of the tailbone, use of ice, and time will allow the inflammation to heal.  If you still have pain after 4 weeks or if you notice any trauma or bleeding see your physician
