Pelvic pain: Vaginismus (vaginal spasm)? Endometriosis (missed on ultrasound)? Mittelschmerz (ovulation pain)? Discuss with the doctor who you have apparently been seeing, who ordered the ultrasound. Higher up: The baby grows and is stored in the uterus (kind of like the body's incubator) until it is ready to be born. When it's time to come out the uterus opens up and the baby slides out through the vagina. The length of the vagina is not important for this part of the process. I hope this was helpful. Could be normal: The clinical significance of this is unclear, however if it resolves and does not come back soon, i would not consider it a sign of anything dangerous.  I recommend evaluation by a gynecologist if the pain continues.  Possibilities are too many to name here, but they include soft tissue injury, urinary tract causes, endometriosis, ovarian or uterine mass/cyst, and more.

This produces problems in puberty.It can also disappear in a fetus or be lost in early childhood .You should expect to find it about a half inch deep inside if the labia minora.
