Costochondritis: without an exam, I can only give general information, but costochondritis (irritaiton of the joints where the ribs join the sternum) is very common and has those symptoms. would NOT think cardiac etiology at all likely.

Several things: Without knowing more a clear answer is difficult.  It could be nothing worrisome, but there is a the possibility of a blood clot.  This is something that needs to be checked and checked fairly quickly to avoid complications.  I would recommend going to an UC or ER.
