Ovulation: During your cycle take your Basal Body Temperature. When you first wake up in the morning, reach over to your nightstand, get an oral thermometer you put under your tongue and take your temperature. This is your basal body temperature. Plot these temps for your period. The day before ovulation you will see a spike in your temperature.

is it possible for me to ovulate on day 17 in one month and on day 7 or 8 the next month? 32 day cycle.

It is possible: Many things are possible in life. It is not likely to ovulate 9 or 10 days earlier than expected, but life can sometimes surprise people. If trying to avoid getting pregnant, be sure one's contraception plan takes into consideration that ovulation can sometimes happen not when expected.

Long end: "Normal" cycles are considered cycles between 24 and 32 days in length. You seem to be at the long end. Ovulation occurs cycle length minus 14 days. In a 32 day cycle that would be day 18.

Day 18: Ovulation typically occurs about 14 days before your period begins.  If you consistently have 32 day cycles, you probably ovulate around day 18, where day 1 is the first day of your period.  So, in this case, day 1 is dec 31, and day 18 will be on jan 17.  You should begin testing a few days before that, so tomorrow would be a good time.  Good luck.

Ovulation: Usually somebody ovulates 14 days before their missiles cycle. So that would be date 18 and 30 today cycle. The only way to know for sure that you ovulated is that you get pregnant. But you can gather circumstantial evidence such as an ovulation predictor kit, Progesterone levels later in the cycle, ultrasound which is my favorite.

Actually: You should ovulate 14 days before your next period starts. The variable part of the cycle is generally the first part or luteal phase when the egg is maturing. In a 32 day cycle this would be about day 18. However, this IS the VARIABLE part of the cycle and some eggs mature faster than others. Hope this helps.

Not usually: The hormonal surges that happen with ovulation could cause a brief episode of diarrhea ( 1 day or so)., but if that were true for you, if is likely that it would have happened with past ovulations also.
