Are you sure?: There is no physiologic explanation for ovarian pain related to consumption of alcohol.  My best guess is that this related to some other source of pain (such as your bowels) that is confused with pain from your ovaries.

Need an exam: Would like to give you specific advice but there are many different pelvic conditions that can cause pain.  You need to see a gynecologist for an examination. You may also need a pelvic ultrasound.  Please don't try to self diagnose your problem, you won't be able to.

Cysts or ovulation: You may have cysts on your ovaries or you're experiencing the pain that may accompany ovulation.  Both can be managed in several ways.  I would get a sonogram and see your md.

Go see your doctor: I'm not sure why/how you know it's your ovaries that are hurting when you cough (as opposed to just saying that your lower abdomen bothers you). Therefore, it's best to go see your family doc for an evaluation.

Ovarian pain: The most common reason for pain coming from your ovaries is an enlarging cyst. The ovaries are predisposed to cyst formation since that is a part of normal ovulation. Certain sexually transmitted diseases will cause pain in your fallopian tubes right next to the ovaries. You would not be able to tell the difference between tubal pain or ovarian pain. It needs to be checked out.

How do you know?: This is a common complaint for obgyns. I always ask "how do you know it is your ovaries?"  your ovaries are two very small organs deep in your pelvis. The rest of the pelvis is filled with intestines and your uterus making those two organs more common causes of pelvic pain. Schedule a visit to discuss all the different causes of pelvic pain.

Unknown: Perhaps consuming alcohol worries you and makes you pay closer attention to your body and you start noticing things. However, alcohol use does not cause ovarian pain.

Ovarian pain: radiates to both sides of the lower abdomen - shares nerve supply with this area but there are a variety of other possibilites -some potentially serious eg urine or pelvic infection,  pregnancy related problem if sexually aticve, or less serious such as muscle/spine.  If not already assessed please see a doctor to sor t this out, urgently if severe pain
