Ovarian pain: radiates to both sides of the lower abdomen - shares nerve supply with this area but there are a variety of other possibilites -some potentially serious eg urine or pelvic infection, pregnancy related problem if sexually aticve, or less serious such as muscle/spine. If not already assessed please see a doctor to sor t this out, urgently if severe pain

Pattern of pain?: Does the pain seem to follow a pattern e.g. with your menstrual cycle? Common causes for this are ovulation pain or period pain. Ovulation pain is caused by the egg being released from you ovary (it kind of bursts out of a bubble in the ovary). Period pain is the pain of the uterine lining peeling away from the uterus. Both of these situations cause low pelvic pain and are normal.
