5 days ago i had an ovarian cyst removed...biopsy results are not available yet.  hypoglycemia is out of control.  thoughts?

No: In my 35 years of practice, I have never seen a case of reactive hypoglycemia.  The disorder doesn't exist, if you're overweight the symptoms are a natural response to your glucose level returning to normal. A glucose tolerance test (if you've had one) is not and never will be a valid diagnostic test for hypoglycemia. Don't waste your money o GTT or any fad diets of treatments. Lose wt if heavy.

To fly?: If the cyst has been found on ultrasound and is small &lt;5cm and did not cause abdominal pain you are good to go. If the cyst was a clinical diagnosis I.e. abdominal/adnexal pain or pain with deep intercourse get an ultrasound (transvaginal), lab tests to include CA125, CBC, urinalysis, HCG, and talk with your OB/GYN. Appendicitis , torsion, and ectopic pregnancy need to be ruled out if pain severe

Discuss with your radiologist on what his thoughts were.

Pelvic pain: It depends if its solid or fluid. A cyst/mass in the ovaries can have many different etiologies. Weight its not really an issue, only the symptoms it might cause.

Usually not: Usually biopsies are not performed on the ovary. Rather if there is a cyst or mass that is suspicious, it will usually be removed entirely, either with or without the rest of the ovary. However not all cysts need to be removed. Sometimes a cyst can be a normal finding.
