Same as pills: The liquid is just the vehicle for the drug, although many have food colorings and sugar which may cause problems in some people. Long-term methadone has few major side effects when used properly, but causes physical dependency (like all opioids), and can reduce both male and female sex hormones, cause constipation, dry mouth/dental issues, sweating, weight gain, and rarely a heart rhythm issue.

Varies by brand: It comes in different colors, most commonly used one is red, and comes in different consistencies, some of which contain sugar and some of which do not. It does everything that methadone in pill or wafer form does, with the additional flexibility of allowing differences as little as 1 mg.  Most methadone treatment programs dose by computer equipment that requires liquid. It is a long-acting opioid

im taking liquid methadone and am ibterested in starting plexius slim. will there be any interactions or withdrawls that i need to worry about?

As I review the: Plexus Slim label, I don't see anything that should be a problem: chromium, green coffee extract, garcinia cambogia, sweeteners. BUT, when you are taking something as strong as methadone, I think you should clear EVERYTHING -- all vitamins, supplements, OTCs, everything -- with your prescribing physician/program. hi, i am 22 years old. i have tapered down and am currently prescribed 5mg of methadone - liquid. will it hurt me to take 1mg of lorazepam?

It depends: If it wasn’t prescribed to be taken right now, do not take it of course. 
If you’re having trouble tapering your methadone, having anxiety or other symptoms from withdrawal that you're having trouble with, please call or see your provider ASAP to prevent further problems, as your taper may need to be adjusted to better fit your needs.

Doubtful: Clinics that dispense medication are very carefully regulated.  It would be very hard for them to alter the medication or dosage.

Hello. : Hello. I know you want directions so that you can detoxify yourself. However, as you are probably already aware, detoxifying is very dangerous. Detoxification should either be done in an inpatient setting or under close monitoring if you find a doctor who is willing to assist wtih outpatient detoxification.

i am on liquid methadone and often it feels like it was swallowed wrong (pipe) will it still be effective?

It can't go down: "wrong pipe" without causing violent coughing and retching.  If you are having swallowing difficulties, this may be related to serious esophageal disease, and you need to talk to the prescribing doctor and/or your primary care physician. It should be evaluated. If it were not being absorbed, you would be experiencing other symptoms.

i took my methadone about an hour ago, it was liquid form and it was 60 mg. if i use a saline enema now, will it drain my methadone from my stomach?

: Most people on a methadone program have a history of poor oral hygiene. Amoxicillin is safe to take, but get all of your teeth treated that are indicated, to prevent further infections.

i take methadose ( liquid methadone ) and klonopin. but i get no relief from panikc attacks.i have used xanax (alprazolam) with my dose and have never died?

Risk of accidental: Overdose. Call your treating physician and ask for guidance. Get into therapy to learn relaxation techniques. An antidepressant anxiolytic would be safer.Think airway first. Without it all else fails.
