No: There is no need to do this. Temperatures vary whether taken orally, rectally, under the armpit or in the ear but when doctors discuss body temperature they are usually talking about oral temperature unless otherwise specified.

Temperature: Thats 95 degrees F.  Doesn't seem right, get another thermometer to see if it's really true.

Body Temperature: Generally, temperature results are as follows: 
•	The average normal oral temperature is 98.6°F (37°C). 
•	A rectal temperature is 0.5°F (0.3°C) to 1°F (0.6°C) higher than an oral temperature. 
•	An ear (tympanic) temperature is 0.5°F (0.3°C) to 1°F (0.6°C) higher than an oral temperature.
•	There is always some range to the Temperature.
•	Temperatures stated by you are within normal range.

my oral temperature is pretty much always 37.1. i was told oral temp is cooler. so surely this means i always have a temperature?

Your normal!: No value in medicine is absolute.  If that is your temperature all the time, and you feel fine, that is normal for you.  37.1 i(98.8 F) is not a fever anyway, it is just a little higher than standard and within the normal range.  Anybody's normal temp will vary during the day. In your case,  your temp may indicate illness if it is over 37.7 or under 36.5. Anything in between is normal variation.

It's fine.: If you are taking it correctly...That's just what is normal for you.  Some people run a little hotter, some a little cooler.  Just like blood pressure, some run a little higher, some a little lower.  Everybody has their own "normal". Why are you taking your temperature so much anyway?

&gt;100.4 F/ 38C: The normal body temperature will fluctuate during the 24 hr day. The metabolism/activity influences the level detected. Those in a normal day/night pattern are often lower around 4-5 AM and higher 4-5PM .

Not necessary: Although oral temperatures tend to be lower than rectal temperatures (the most accurate measure of internal body temperature) by about 0.5 degrees f, it's still roughly within measurement error and doctors won't expect you to be doing math.  It's always best to state the true measurement and whether it was oral, axillary (armpit), rectal, or tympanic (ear).

No: not a fever.  Everyone has some variation in thee temperature over a 24 hour day.  This is normal.

is it unusual (even if possible) for overlap myeloproliferative-myelodysplastic disorder to lower an elderly person's oral temperature below 36c for about 50% of his temp readings over 2 weeks?  the temperatures are highly likely to be accurate.

Many seniors: have NORMAL low basal temperatures and those with chronic diseases (even NON-MYELOPROLIFERATIVE disorders do NOT respond with the extremely HIGH fevers sustained by young people!
