Agree w Dr. Alves: Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted disease from a parasite called trichomonas vaginalis. Most often women become infected by penis to vaginal contact or vaginal to vaginal contact. It reportedly can infect the mouth ; anus but can not survive in those areas.

No risk: Trichomonas does not infect the mouth or throat and cannot be transmitted by oral sex.

No risk for trich: T. tenax is normal in the mouth but is not known to cause genital infection. Oral sex probably never transmits trichomonas of any kind. Urethral irritation, especially with penile discharge, could be gonorrhea or nongonococcal urethritis from the oral sex event described. But not trichomonas. See a doctor if your symptoms continue or you otherwise remain concerned.

Unlikely: I would avoid, if he has trich he might have something else too. Although sometimes men don't have symptoms of sexually transmitted infections, it seems unlikely that 2 years would go by without symptoms.

See doctor: If symptoms are not improved after taking prescribed medication, it's best to see the doctor for examination and appropriate tests to confirm a diagnosis. This will guide treatment. It's possible to have another type of infection or one that is resistant to the current treatment.

Condoms: But the best way is to make sure your partner does not have it, it is not normal to get trich from having sex or if you keep getting it form your partner , then your partner is not getting treated or your partner is getting it from someone else.

Not that we know of!: Urethritis is often causes by chemical irritation or friction. The urethra is so close to the vagina that it can be injured easily. Also,  If urine is very concentrated from not drinking enough fluids, it can cause irritation to the bladder and urethra.   Drinking fluids until the urine is very light is helpful, as well as sitting in a warm bath without soap.
