Doubtful: may be result of food allergy or medicine response.  If it does not resolve, visit a dentist for diagnosis and treatment

i have large bumps on the back of my tongue, bad breathe, white patches on my tongue, and extra mucus. i have a feeling its oral herpes, if it is will i ever get my tongue back to normal and mouth back to normal. is there something i can take?

Probably not hsv: The symptoms of oral herpes are painful blisters, or ulcerations on your lips or the inside of your mouth.  Herpes does not cause any lesions on the tongue.  Make sure to brush your teeth regularly and consider seeing a doctor for the other symptoms as it could be a sign of another infection

No: Nothing is always, and i always say never say never.  Usually oral lesions which look herpetic, are due to herpes.  Tests can suggest that herpes is present (special stains and viral cultures), but negative findings do not exclude the diagnosis.

Doubt it: Herpes is usually very painful so i doubt this is what you have. Unfortunately I am not sure what you have. If it happens again i would either see your dentist or a dermatologist.

oral herpes: Oral herpes is a viral infection from the herpes simplex virus. It usually starts as one or more blisters that break and leave a grey, cratered painful ulcer. It can occur anywhere in the mouth, and like any viral infection, may be accompanied by fever and muscle aches. They are sometimes mistaken for canker sores (aphthous ulcers), which are not caused by a virus.
See your dentist to be sure.

It's possible: but without seeing what it looks like a definitive diagnosis can't be made.  It it's painful, take ibuprofen or acetaminophen.  If it doesn't improve within 2-3 days or if it worsens, you should see your doctor.

Possible: You can but it would be uncommon. It is not clear but usually oral herpes present as a blister formation. What you are describing sound more like canker sores.The cause of this is not clear but smoking, stress and viral causes have all been proposed. You can talk with your doctor for the best treatment especially if they are very painful 
Other causes have been implicated is hot foods.
