Cyst removal: it may stop depending on how much it re-opened.  if it is large it may need to be debriefed and have a secondary closure.

6 to 24 hours: The risk of developing infection in a wound that is sutured (stiched) begins to rise when the suture repair is delayed more than 6 hours and rises dramatically after 12 hours. Most emergency physicians will not attempt to close a wound after 24 hrs unless the wound is very large or there are cosmetic issues such as with facial wounds.

Closure : I would not do that yourself- open wounds need medical attention and a professional to stitch it closed (may or may not be indicated).  See a physician to determine if closure is necessary or antibiotics is indicated.

Well,: If you think he does need stitches you better take him to and emergency room asap as the window for primary suture is rapidly closing. If it is on the lower leg after stitching  have some compression stocking on the leg to offset possible swelling that will delay healing. Make sure to be given a tetanus shot too!

2 weeks post circumcision and i have noticed that i have a smelly discharge coming out of an open wound. looks like its not stitched properly. also still have excess skin so looks like im uncircumcised?

: If you were circumcised to lower your risk of HIV, congratulations:  good move! For this problem, you need to Rrturn to the doctor or clinic where your circumcision was done. Good luck.

Go: Get help both for the arm wound but more importantly to get help on why you would hurt yourself...See talk to your family and/or get immediate medical help.

Well: What is your question. Did they put you on an antibiotic. Sounds like you would need one and the perhaps a recheck when the antibiotic is done

i had a mesh removal op, i'm left with an open wound, was given everything for the dressing, aquacel to insert inside with melcura gel, sodium saline n guaze to clean.. i forgot to ask how ofter i should change the dressing, if it's daily. plz help?

Get it checked: Get surgical site checked by a health care professional to see if there is any change of the wound due to trauma.
