always cracking mp joints in fingers and big toe and even dip joints in fingers. cannot stop as this has been ongoing for over 4 years. what can i do?

Snap, crackle &amp; pop.: It is a habit, and like most habits, both good and bad, very hard to break. You can spend a lot of money and time for help, but in the end, you either want to stop or not. I can think of a lot of worse things to spend your time doing.

ongoing numbness in left big toe since 2wks ago around nail area. 1wk later, woke up with my right big toe feeling fullness when i walk. so now both toes are affected. first time this happen. what could be wrong/who to see? no pain, no discolouration?

: Any number of minor things can cause this - starting from your socks, footwear, or walking. If it persists pl get chcked by a podiatarist

Nerves like to : Move freely and unrestricted. It is plausible being in the cast or if the cast impinged on a nerve this could of been the problem. Also, when your in a cast on one side the body is somewhat asymmetrical and a nerve in the lower back may be responsible. I think anytime there is a new issue the treating physician should be made aware, so when you ask "wait it out"- my response is inform your doc.

Likely: A typical contusion will last only a day or so and resolve without treatment.  If the toe is still hurting (and severely!) it may well be broken, or you could have a cartilage injury or turf toe.  See a foot specialist to determine what kind of injury you had and how best to treat it.
