Size: doesn't always matter: you were probably born this way and it it not uncommon to have different sized tonsils as long as you don't have symtoms.

Need more info: How much is one tonsil bigger than the other? Small asymmetry is normal. How long have you noticed the size difference? If there are no other symptoms, you may watch and wait. If the size difference in the two tonsils more than doubles, you get enlarged lymph glands else where, lose weight or get fever, see a doctor.

Prob not an issue: Sometimes after having a tonsillopharyngitis, the tonsils may stay swollen for some time.  Differences in size is not uncommon.  Outside of the possibility of tonsilith (White discharge in tonsils), as long as there isn't a significant difference or obstruction, there is nothing to concerned about that.  See your doctor if there are concerns.

Tonsils. : It would not be abnormal in and of itself if one tonsil were larger than the other. If the larger has visibly grown, then ENT should comment. But if the one hasn’t grown and has always been larger than the other, then that should be fine.

See ENT physician: The tonsil and throat need to be examined in order for a diagnosis to be made.  The mention of "holes" makes me wonder about tonsil stones

May be normal: We are not always symmetrical.  It may be normal for one tonsil to be larger than the other.  It may have responded to something more than the other. You should see some one if you are really worried.

: It is not uncommon that people have tonsillar hypertrophy due to recurrent tonsillitis may be prominent unilaterally. Stones come out from the crater will be more from the bigger one. If one tonsil is bigger the anterior pillars (flaps of oral mucosa in front of the tonsils) are also different. You have nothing to worry if those findings have not changed for quite some time.

Yes: But see an ent to fully check it out. Depending on the exam you may be advised to have it removed.

Infection?: The hole may be due to a previous infection, ..Asymetric size of tonsils may be related to other problems and best to be seen by your otolaryngologist.
