No good way: It is difficult to tell what may be causing your problem since the most important part of making a diagnosis is getting a good history. For example, we would need to know if you have been taking any new drugs or supplements within months prior to the onset of the rash.  Also what do you mean by an odd rash? Doe it itch, burn, or whatever?

Oops need to see: Could be almost anything.  Depends on the kind of rash (bumpy, red, tiny, irregular, weeping, itchy, etc).  This time of year pityriasis rosacea (pr) is common & may start with a spot (herald patch) on the lower abdomen (or back, extremities) then radiate to other parts of the body. my 6 month old has an odd rash on her private area, i have tried different types of creams it doesnt seem to help. its not getting better or worse though its just kind of there... what do you think it could be?

Diaper rash-see derm: prob simple diaper rash, but need to see dermatologist for eval, since there are other dxs to consider, such as yeast, fungus, allergy, and more esoteric dxs that your dermatologist can rule out.

Rash: It may have started out as insect bites but the itching may have led to infection. Have it checked to see if you need drainage or medication. All the best.

? Nickel dermatitis: Many possibilities but common is a nickel dermatitis from the button on your jeans.  I would apply otc Hydrocortisone 3x daily (rx works better if you go to a dermatologist) and avoid wearing any pants with buttons.  If it goes away and you want to wear jeans again, you will need to apply 3 coats of clear nail polish before you wear them every time.  Please get checked if not resolved.

i have this odd rash/sore on my neck, and it only seems to get bigger when i mess with it. it doesnt hurt or bleed or have pus or anything, its just like this tiny single spot of flaky whatever on my neck?

: A Physical or Virtual visit with the Dermatologist is the fastest way to get a diagnosis and a management or treatment plan as the case may be.

RAsh: This rash would likely need to be examined and more history obtained to be able to provide you with useful input about the diagnosis or possible treatment.

No: It is difficult ot evaluate a rash only from an email, and there are subtle changes that you can see in person that a two dimensional image misses. You also may need to skin biopsy for diagnosis. If this persists and does not respond to over the counter products see dermatologist before this becomes worse.

i've been having this odd red rash on my legs that stings when it shows up. been coming and going for years along with red dots.  can it be eczema?

Could be many things: Eczema, contact dermatitis, or even shingles, if you had chicken pox as a child. However, shingles would be rare in an adolescent with a normal immune system. Try switching to a hypoallergenic laundry detergent and bathe with hypoallergenic soaps. Patients with eczema have higher sensitivity to allergens. See a dermatologist if simple prevention does not help.
