Vein occlusion : A retinal vein occlusion may be total (crvo), 1/2 the retina (hemi-retinal), branched (brvo), or tertiary (smaller, branch retinal vein occlusion). So it's the size of vein that's occluded that depicts the name. Most often these occur from hypertension.

STEMI is worse: Regarding 100% occlusion, it would depend on the size and location of the blood vessel. 100% occlusion of a larger coronary artery is likely to produce a STEMI.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

Big debate: This topic was very hot recently because of dr. Zamboni from italy.  It is currently being investigated.  I have seen patients have tremendous results and some have no change.  I believe it is beneficial but we need to determine what patients will benefit before we apply it to everyone and every type of ms.

3 Options: 1)  mechanically remove the clot in an interventional procedure
2)  dissolve the clot using "lytic" medications
3)  do nothing and just try to keep more clots from forming with Heparin or a heparin-like compound.

Those are usually the 3 options.  Specific choice depends on dozens of individual factors.
