Slim: If you have used it correctly and it hasn't fallen out inadvertently, then the chance is very small, less than 5%, but it is possible so always wise to check a pregnancy test if you are worried. They are inexpensive and very reliable.

NuvaRing: Nuvaring is a flexible 2” diameter ring that is inserted in the vagina. It releases a continuous dose of estrogen and progestin to prevent the ovaries from developing mature eggs. It is 99% effective in reducing pregnancy.

Normal odds: The effects of Nuvaring are out of your system about 7 days after removal thus returning you to your normal baseline fertility status.

No: Removal and replacement of the intravaginal contraceptive ring will not significantly lower the hormones in your body to cause an ovulation.  I don't recommend leaving it out for a day.

Hard to say: Any fluid coming from an excited penis has some sperm in less concentration than the main ejaculate. Since it only takes one sperm to get you pregnant it is hard to be specific about exposure risk. The practice of using withdrawal as BC is really just wishful thinking. If that is your form of BC you should prepare for it to fail at some point.

Infertility: Nope. Vitamins will not in any way fix or change the problem causing your infertility. I would advise you to get to a real fertility specialist and to get the real testing done to see what is keeping you from conceiving and then work on a real fix or treatment so that you can consider having another child.

1. Don't smoke.
2. Avoid alcohol or recreational drugs.
3. Maintain a normal weight, being underweight or overweight can affect ovulation.
4. Take a good multiple vitamin to insure adequate folate (folic acid) levels.
