Not considered high: This temperature is considered a rather mild elevation. If the kid is under 8 wks I would go in immediately. If not, you can comfort the kid &amp; go in if you decide to when it is convenient.

Various ways: To close an opened wound. It depends on the size depth area involved. Most of my wounds i see are sutured closed. Check your tetanus status.

Dried up lenses: I would not use them if they have been in the open for 9 jhours! even if you rewet them, ther ewill be bacteria on them that you cannot rid off even with= washing.

Cover with Band-aid: You may apply an antibiotic ointment like Neosporin and cover it with band aid.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex. 
Get HPV vaccine
