Ciguatera?: numbness after eating sushi can be a symptom of several things, but one of them is ciguatera toxicity. It is found in reef fish, usually in the summertime. it causes lip and tongue numbness, 2-6 hours after eating, but can also cause nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain, and cardiac and neurologic problems. If you are having these symptoms, go to the ER to be checked out. Good luck.

hello. :) my lips have been tingling, feeling hot, numb, and kind of hurting lately. sometimes my nose, cheeks, hands, gums and tongue too. it sometimes happens right after eating but mostly not i think. this happens maybe 2-3 times a day?

: It's not unusual the radiculopathy recurs after cervical fusion procedure but that should not have anything to do with body temperature dysregulation and unsatiable hunger. You should see your family doctor for a thorough evaluation. Good luck.

Pain: I am glad your pain is not related to your heart. However, you still have a problem Pain that is in shoulder blade area and worsened with activity associated with numbness would make me think thoracic outlet syndrome or some type of neuropathic pain at neck or shoulder.

See below: You might be describing minor salivary gland activity or enlargement.  You might also be describing an allergic reaction, especially if there is a pattern to a specific type of food.  It's hard to say. It's always best to take you car to the mechanic when it is actually making the clunkity-clunk noise.....So when the bumps appear, call your dentist to see if you can come right in to get it checked.

Human Blood: It is very unlikely there was human blood (other than your own) in your mouth. In addition, you could have been mistaken regarding what you tasted. Your gums may have bled or you may have bitten your cheek or tongue by accident.

Mouth lesions: This could be a food allergy - also check to see if you were eating hot food - if the food is too hot it will also blister the roof of the mouth.  Keep a diary of what food you eat and when this happens.  If continues - follow with your physician.
