i gave my daughter 5 ml of bromfed syrup on accident instead of the 2.5 ml dosage. she weighs 33lbs.... turns 3 in march. will she be okay?

Most likely: She may be a little sleepy from the dose but a single dose at that level is unlikely to hurt her. The AAP and other groups have found that use of these products under the age of 6 has little or no value. The frequency of eR visits by kids self treating has led many to stop recommending them.

Wouldn't use either: A 2 mo is congested and coughs because they have irritants,odors, dust,etc.triggering nasal congestion.A good nasal wash out and suction with saline drops should be all the kid needs. Eliminate the nasal irritants and the kid may improve.

: Websites say Bifilac is a probiotic. Doctors generally don't feed "supplements" to babies unless there is a long tradition of doing so by local professionals, and benefit has been seen without seeing harm. We usually let babies thrive on natural nutrients, which means breastmilk until solid foods after 6 months of age. Differences in gut microbes do matter, but differences are not well understood.

Mixing these: two medications may increase risk for serotonin syndrome. I can't reassure that you wouldn't have problems because some people have Serotonin on a brief, low dose of an SSRI.

Cold &amp; cough syrups : including Claritin (loratadine) D should not be given to children &lt;  6 years old. Claritin (loratadine) D is given for seasonal allergic rhinitis. 2-year-olds have not been on this earth long enough to have developed seasonal allergic rhinitis. Some potential adverse  effects are  sleepiness, rapid heart rate,  headache, giddiness, nausea, vomiting, sweating, muscle weakness, trouble breathing &amp; worsening of asthma.

i gave 2 tsp of zyrtec 1mg/ml syrup to my 4,5 year old son. then i realised that this is 4 times of the recommended dose for 2-6 years old children. shall i worry about it or what do you recommend me to do? thank you in advance?
