Different issues...: Time to talk with the baby's pediatrician, as a parent can get confused about what's happening to the baby. Being in a vegetative state is what we humans all try to avoid, because vegetative means we have only a portion of the life we are supposed to have as animals. Not getting enough oxygen is a different issue. One has to ask about oxygen... how little, for how long, in what kind of patient.

Oximeter: Buy yourself a pulse oximeter, you can find them online and they are not too expensive, $20-30. If your oxygen saturation is in the lower 90-es or falls below 90%, see a doctor.

They pass out: Generally, if a person isnt getting enough oxygen to the brain, he or she will pass out.  This is the body's way of protecting the brain by increasing blood flow in the lying position.  It is unlikely that minor symptoms are related to lack of oxygen.

Hypoxia: This is based on the history &amp; physical exam. Some tests are  Brain Angiogram, Arterial Blood Gases, CT scan of head, Echocardiogram, EKG, EEG, MRI of the head.

True: Yawning is a sign of tiredness.  Additionally, when your carbon dioxide (the gas given off with exhaling) level starts to rise in your body, it does stimulate the brain to cause you to yawn.  The theory is that the yawning will cause you to take a deep breath and inhale more oxygen and exhale the excess carbon dioxide.

on day 6 of covid. im so dizzy and spacy.easily confused at times. my brain feels pressure & like its swollen &buzzed like its not getting enough oxygen but oxygen sat is normal.very bothersome. headaches.i also have lupus. should i be concerned?

Yes!: You should be concerned about your continued Covid-19 symptoms. And because you also suffer from lupus you are at an increased risk for complications. I suggest you try to stay calm, remain well hydrated &amp; warm &amp; get to an Urgent Care Center for an exam as soon as possible. If your symptoms continue to worsen you may need supportive care in a hospital. I wish you well with your health!

Level is fine: Any reading above 94% reflects adequate oxygenation and should bring no worries.Below 94% might indicate some lung or other issue that deserves looking into.
