At 10 pounds per month that's still 120 pounds in a year. Cutting your calories by 300 per day, and burning at least 300-500 calories per day will allow you to accomplish tha goal.

1-2 pills: If his kidney functions are ok he can 250-500 mg magnesium. If he gets diarrhea cut the dosage why he has low magnesium ?  Does he take water pills? Does he have muscle aches or pains or muscle cramps high BP or heart problems. These are some symptoms of magnesium deficiency

Diarrhea : Ian’s age is key here, if he is very young he needs emergent care, if he’s a teen you’ll need to have him seen in the AM, he needs a full history, exam and some testing

Urine: It's something to get checked out.  Possibly from an infection, also you would want to rule out diabetes with the frequent urination.  The easy answer might just be that you are drinking a lot, so you will urinate a lot as well, but still something to get checked out.

I would assume that large amounts of time are dedicated to having sex or thinking about sex. Is the sexual activity completely consensual - no pressure to engage if one partner doesn't feel like it? Might explore if sex has become addictive.
