i am 43 yrs old and was told i might have keratoconus when i was 30. my vision is showing the normal signs of age. should i be doing anything special?

Recheck: Keratoconus is progressive.  You should get repeated examinations by an ophthalmologist (preferably, the same one over time).

i am 66 years old. my foreskin has recently  become tighter and more difficult to pull back. is this a normal sign of ageing or should i be concerned?

Be concerned.: This is called phimosis. Normally, the foreskin should always be comfortably retractable over the head of the penis. There may be an infection that has caused this skin to contract - it may be painful or impossible to retract the foreskin if you ignore it. Circumcision would be the worst-case scenario. See your family practitioner for an evaluation and treatment.

last week i was diagnosed with a uti. now my right side hurts. i don't have an appetite. my uti didn't have any of the normal signs. when do i go back?

Right away. You: have a kidney infection or stone. You need followup right away.

Cramping common : Cramping is quite common in early pregnancy. If your pain gets worse, or you start to have bleeding, see a doctor for evaluation.

Totally normal: Assuming the shaking is brief, it's totally normal. Usually myoclonic jerking in the muscles. If it's really more of a shaking and it's prolonged, more than just a few seconds, then discuss it with his pediatrician. Very unlikely to be diabetes though unless he's having drinking and urination issues, or failure to thrive.

flow cytometry shows 53% cd4+30 dual and absolute count of 2,425. also found some cd4+25 dual 3% absolute count 137. is this normal? sign of disease?

What's the tests for: Since there is no single blood test which provides a diagnosis and flow cytometry is a dynamic process, what was your doctor trying to look for?  What were the indications?  Were the CD4 CD25 + or -?

Do you mean Common?: Binge eating can become extremely abnormal. Many folks will overeat at times but not routinely. Thanksgiving, christmas and new years are examples. Red flags fly when we have daily fears of gaining weight, eat too little, cave in and eat too much. Binging guilt leads to purging - forced vomiting or laxatives. Hiding binge food, solitary binging, pretend eating meals are serious binge eating signs.

i have had my period for over half a year now. my last period lasted a weak and was really heavy and painful. normally theyre extremely normal signs?

Painful menses: As a woman gets to her 30's and more, the estrogen made by the ovaries increases, hence the amount of bleeding, pain, bloating and irritable moods increases.  Ask your gyn provider about low dose oral contraceptives, which will turn off the estrogen from the ovaries, and considerably reduce menstrual negative events. The "pill" at low doses is safe for most women.

what are signs of pregnancy when you're on the depo-provera shot? are they different from normal signs?

Same as other: Should be no difference. Failure rate of Depo shots given on time is 0-0.7/100 woman years or 0-0.7% per year. If in doubt take a pregnancy test.

i would just bleed and bleed and my blood wouldn't clot one bit. does this mean my anemia is worst or better or is it just a normal sign?

Anemia from bleeding: If you bleed easily, this will cause anemia.  It will make anemia worse, but the anemia does not cause the bleeding.  Instead, there may be some reason for the bleeding (like a bleeding disorder).  Tests can determine if you have a bleeding disorder.
