Normal?: If your are not taking warfarin, the normal values for men and women is between 0.8-1.2, if you are on warfarin, you level depends on the indication, for example for patient with atrial fibrillation the level should be closely monitored and maintained between 2-3. Again it depends on why you are on blood thinners.

No: Clots in the blood stream are far more dangerous as they can travel to brain or to the lungs.  The ones you see in vaginal bleeding are directly. If you had a scratch on your hand you wouldn't immediately go to the ER.

However, these prolonged clotting times are SMALL and subject to a HIGH DEGREE OF VARIABILITY &amp; are not useful in monitoring the anticoagulation effect of apixaban". No, we don't have a practical way for monitoring dose effectiveness.

Cancer and D-Dimer: Anything is possible and therefore you need to see your primary care physician for evaluation. D-Dimer is not sensitive test for any one particular problem but is a specific test. If negative (normal), it helps exclude several conditions, most importantly DVT or PE. If positive, it does not help much because you have to figure out why it is elevated (low sensitivity).

Not cirrhosis: These bilirubin levels are normal as far as I'm concerned. Cirrhosis is not subtle. You would know something is bad-wrong. You're young and it sounds like you're health-conscious. Borderline values: Borderline numbers that are otherwise normal. In this scenario we can't rely on a blood test alone. The diagnosis can be helped by examining the clinical picture . Physical exam and symptoms should help narrow the diagnosis.

Possible vasculitis: Petechiae may be blanching or non blanching. ie goes away when you press on it and then returns when you let go vs. not going away. Low platelets are a cause but not the only cause.  Vasculitis or inflammation of the blood vessels may also do this.  Normal platelets does not rule out this possibility.  Its not normal to have petechial rash and needs workup with an internal medicine doctor
