Possible: Wait another week and check first AM urine with home pregnancy test. It could also be dysfunctional uterine bleeding which is common with hormonal shifts even with stress. Trying to conceive can be stressful which works against you. Easier said than done, but try to relax. Many couples conceive after adoption because the pressure is off. Follow up with your fertility specialist, too. Take care.

Unlikely: Generally an implantation bleed is not normal menses blood flow.  You can alway test with an over the counter pregnancy test to be sure, but unlikely an implantation bleed.

No: There are many possible causes, but 4 days of bleeding 4 days after your period would not be considered implantation bleeding.  Pregnancy, nonetheless, is one possibility.

Contraceptives: Hi,
If you have progesterone releasing contraceptive, you will experience less bleeding than usual. Usually bleeding that occurs as a result of trauma from placing the IUD will occur within the first 1-2 days after implantation. Hope this helps.

See Gynecologist: Although you could try a pregnancy test, it is sometimes not sensitive until after you miss your first period. A test exists to measure the exact amount of HCG in the blood stream and may be a more accurate test in an early pregnancy to determine if you are or aren't pregnant. The alternative is to wait for a month and see if your period happens normally.

Implantation bleed: Implantation bleeding is much more common on the internet than in real life. It occurs rarely and exclusively in someone who is pregnant. The only way to know if someone had implantation bleeding or just irregular menstrual bleeding is to wait and see if you are pregnant. If your test is positive then this was implantation bleeding. If it is negative then it is just irregular menstrual bleeding.

IUD: well it could be implantation bleeding or it could be irregular bleeding if you had a Mirena (levonorgestrel) IUD. If you do not have a period within within 2-3 weeks of that bleeding then I would do a pregnancy test.

No such thing: Implantation is not traumatic and does not cause bleeding. If anything there may be one or two small spots of blood. But imagine with me that a fetus, smaller than a speck of dust, landing on the wall of the uterus causing 'bleeding". It does not happen.  Implantation would be much earlier in a cycle then just before the next period is due.

Now: If your last period started on June 9, a pregnancy test is reliable any time now.
