Ovary/uterus: The mentrual cycle is a shedding of the uterine lining and is hormonally induced. Have your GYN check your female hormone levels and thyroid function.

Ovary removed ?'s: Removal of one ovary will  usually not affect normal cycling, however, operative stress can delay ovulation, and your next period may be delayed.  Ask your gyn about low dose oral BCP's, to preserve fertility options and decrease odds of additional pathology affecting your remaining ovary.

after removal of one ovary and  the tube, it has been 3 months and i still have not had my first period back.  is that normal?

No: No, that is not normal. Contact your GYN MD surgeon and find out why the period is absent.

Surgical Adhesions: It is possible that there are some surgical adhesions that are causing the pulling sensation when you menstruate.

2-6 weeks: The stress of surgery can alter menstrual cycle. Expect a cycle by 6 weeks post op however.

Probably: Be patient, if you were having regular cycles before the surgery you will likely resume normal cycles within a couple months.

A little early: Three weeks is a little early to know how you will respond to hysterectomy. If you kept the ovaries and there is known endometriosis on the bowel then one would expect that pain to continue without further treatment. Schedule a follow up to discuss the plan for the remaining endometriosis

my period is late by 4 days & ive had a bilateral tube removal, i still have my ovaries my period has been on track the last three months i had mt tubes removed 6 months ago, its not possible to be pregnant is it?

: It is extremely rare but it does not mean NEVER happening. I think your period is just delayed this month which is 1,000 times more common than conception after bilateral tube resection. You can do a urine pregnancy test for your peace of mind in 2-3 days. Take care!

how am i still able to have periods after one tubal removal and one tube tied if nothing can get through my tubes from the overies? confused.

Periods: Your period is from cyclic changes in the lining  of the uterus due to cyclic hormone changes in the ovaries.  The tubes only function to get the egg to the uterus and have nothing to do with the period itself

Not necessarily: One ovary by itself is not a cause for painful periods. The reason for removal of the other ovary may have some bearing on this issue.
