YES , not intended: Capsule endoscopy  will detect pathology ( disease ) inside the lumen of bowel  like bleeding , tumors etc  It can not visualize the adhesions as they are outer surface of bowel, but laparoscopic examination will . Speak to your doctor

Barium enems: Capsule endoscopy is contraindicated and not allowed if intessessuption is suspected. They will try to reduced it by using barium enema pressure with a good success or surgery which could be done lapsrosopically

?spastic colon: Your intestines could be spasming after passing hard stool.Ibs aka irritable bowel syndrome can cause cramping in the lower abdomen. It can be severe. Review your fiber intake and make dietary changes. Review your GI hygiene. Are you resisting the urge to go  when your body gives you the cue? Go back to your  dr and review the changes you made and if you are still experiencing pain there are meds.

can a capsule endoscopy replace an upper endoscopy &colonoscopy for a 3 year old? is the same prep required for the capsule endoscopy?

Possibly: If you are at an academic center working with pediatric GI and radiology specialists, this can be a great alternative if you just need to look. If they think biopsies are going to be needed, then won't work. And, unfortunately, you do need pretty much the same cleanout so you can get good images form the camera and be able to see what is really going on. Child also has to be able to swallow camera

No: It will probably be mixed in  with your stool, but since it has higher density secondary to having a camera in it, I hope this helps

what is the difference between a colonoscopy and a pillcam capsule endoscopy?

Direct vision vs. TV: In colonoscopy a scope is passed retrograde up  the colon after cleansing with a bowel prep. Air inflation dilates the bowel to aid visualization.  With the pill camera, the pill or capsule is swallowed and as it passes the pylorus to the small bowel, a TV image is transmitted to a camera and the passage of the pill is video copied to review any findings and visualize any small bowel lesions.

Small bowel lesions: A capsule endoscopy may capture lesions in the small bowel, not otherwise reachable by upper endoscopy or colonoscopy.

clinical picture &capsule endoscopy highly suggests coeliac sprue. (mosaicing, scalloping etc) yet ttg neg., hla dq2/dq8 negative. still cd possible?

Not typical: You may have another disease which causes inflammation in your small bowel from another mechanism given the negative IgA tTG(provided that you were not avoiding gluten at the time of the test) and DQ2/DQ8.  Perhaps a biopsy is in order.  Has gluten avoidance helped?
