Need your physician: I don't see how you could use the culture results effectively or even safely since only your doctor can properly interpret the results and decide the best treatment depending upon your particular situation which includes knowing allergies, other medications you may be taking, and exactly how you are likely to react given their knowledge about you.

YES: Certain antibiotics can interfere with the efficacy of the BC pill.

Q: had recurring uti and mdr as shown in urine culture, recent urine culture shows sensitivity to levofloxacin and nitrofurantoin p. previous one in2022 shows sensitivity to fosfomycin so which antibiotic is more convenient and effective to use here ?

: Both are. You should try UTI prevention with - drinking more water, not holding urine, avoiding constipation and keeping the vulvo-vaginal area clean. Good luck

Q: is it okay to use a tampon while i have a uti? i just got my period as i had to stop taking my birth control in order for the uti antibiotics (nitrofurantoin) to work?

: yes you can wear your tampon and take your macrodantin

Back pain and UTI: If your back pain is actually due to a UTI you should not be taking Nitrofurantoin since you probably have an upper tract infection. You really need to be fully evaluated by a doctor familiar with utis (infectious disease expert, urologist, nephrologist) and if not due to UTI your back pain also needs to be assessed differently.
