There could be some chronic -- and potentially life-threatening -- infection or other problem going on.  Please encourage him to seek medical help as soon as possible.

Withdraw - tobacco: Stopping smoking involves a process of withdrawing.  Focus on things outside yourself.  Use gum or mints to replace the oral part of your habit. Nicotine withdrawal: Nicotine withdrawal symptoms peak in the first 3 days of smoking cessation and subside over the 3 to 4  weeks. Symptoms include increased appetite, weight gain, changes in mood (dysphoria or depression), insomnia, irritability, anxiety, difficulty concentrating, and restlessness, as well as sweating (diaphoresis). You symptoms will subside soon.Discuss with your Dr if cravings are strong.

Yes: Nicotine is a stimulant.  If you are getting too much (or any really) in your system, then symptoms of hyperstimulation like night sweats, anxiety, and insomnia will result.

Possibly: Will all dream regularly, but often do not remember the substance of the dream.  Night sweats can be a result of release of catecholamines in response to disturbing or exciting dreams.  You should not be 'dizzy', depending on what you mean by that.  If this keeps up, see your pcp.

: 6 mm pulmonary nodules are non specific. I would like to know if you had a previous CT that would establish if they’ve been there for some time. They are too small to be imaged with an MRI.
