Less light scatter: Glare is caused by scattering of light before it enters the eye.  Anti-glare lenses filter certain wave lengths of light, resulting in a more uniform beam of light entering the eye. Yellow or amber tints are best.

Possibly: Night myopia is not completely understood, but believed to be due to slight increase in myopia due to the pupils enlarging at night or from the eyes trying to accommodate causing a resulted myopia (because in the dark the eye does not have good focal points to adjust to, so it attempts to accommodate to bring things into focus).  I have prescribed glasses for slight myopia and it has helped some.

Check up: Have your eye md check your refraction and examine the eyes. You have had cataract surgery in the past and your eyes may be developing posterior opacification of the capsule that surrounds your intraocular lens implant. Your eye md can tell you if a laser capsulotomy would help clarify you vision, or if is just a glasses prescription change.

Depends: Depends on how big your glasses are, of course. Also, if alcohol addiction has been a problem in the past, i recommend no single drop of it. If you use alcohol for any health reasons such as to help you fall asleep or elevate your mood - stop right where you are. It will make you dependent and addicted. Also, anti-depressants and alcohol is a very dangerous combo. Deaths have been reported.

Monitor: Monitor your blood pressure.  A blood pressure of 149/99 is moderately elevated. Minimize alcohol consumption.  If your blood pressure remains elevated see your physician.

wearing glasses for too long gives me a headache i usually wear contacts all day and then glasses at night when i get home until i go to bed.  some days i wear glasses all day long.  on those days i get a headache.  any idea why this could be happening?

There : There may be a problem with your eyeglasses, e.g., the optical centers of the lenses may not match your pupil location, or the eyeglasses may no longer be the correct prescription.  A comprehensive eye examination by your ophthalmologist would be the best way to determine the cause of the headaches.
