Yes: Nasal allergy can cause a stuffy nose and ache in your ears.  But, claritin, Niacin and Flonase will probably not affect your tinnitus.

See Below: Common side effects include flushing, itching, nausea, numbness in the extremities, and abdominal pain. In terms of interactions, these may be caused by using Niaspan (niacin) with alcohol, certain cholesterol lowering meds like simvastatin, and others. However, in general is is safe to use with other medications.

Niaspan (niacin) : Niaspan (niacin) is best taken in the morning with a low dose 81 mg aspirin.  The Aspirin lessens the flushing that accompanies the niaspan (niacin).
Zocor is best taken in the evening, when it is 10% more effective due to the body's biorhythm.

Flushing: Individual flushing episodes can last several hours, its variable by patient. Sometimes after many weeks they will stop happening.

No interaction here: Each has its own side effects and this is not enough space for all of them. But the tow medicine should not interact with each other. If you are experiencing significant side effects or have other concern, consult your doc. Good luck.

A few risks to note: can cause sugars to go up, flushing, high enough doses can affect the liver(especially when added to a statin), limited data on benefit. In other words the total cholesterol and the LDLs should be the focus of treatment. No mortality reductions with niaspan (niacin) or the fibrate group of drugs.

Hx noted: OC Niacin is niacin. Generic OC niacin is likely cheaper and thus preferred.  The usual dose is 500-2000 mg limited by flushing. Flushing can be reduced by taking 325 mg of aspirin an hour beforehand. Niacin reduces triglycerides but generally isn't indicated unless the level is &gt;500 and refractory to dietary changes.
