It depends. : When you get above 5000 feet or so, it takes extra work to breathe if you are not used to it. For a baby, this may cause more trouble with breathing, increased heart rate, and trouble with altitude sickness (vomiting, headache). If the mountain is lower than that, there shouldn't be much trouble. Check with your doctor.

NEWBORN BABY: It is easy to take care of a newborn at daytime. They sleep most of the time after feeding  with light music. Problem is at night when you have to wake up for feeding . Bath the baby in rhe am, feed and put to sleep.

Same as 4 U: There is no reason to keep the room at any temperature other than the normal comfort range. I like 70-74, but that's just me. You can tell that baby's getting hot if their sweating into the back of their neck/head. Too cold and they get chill bumps, fingers turn pale or blue. A variety of onzie outfits that correspond to their need will make life easier for you.

Depends on situation: A newborn must first pass the dark sticky meconium stool ; this starts day one or is abnormal.Once it clears, if baby is breast fed they may stool a little smear every feeding or one big crib full once a week. Breast milk is so well digested that it may not leave much behind for poo. If it is soft, the frequency of stooling is not important.Formula babies go more often.

When U feel like it: Early in my career I routinely discharged newborns to the transfer van that took mom/babe to Narita airport in Tokyo. From there they traveled back to the US where they stayed with family for a month. Young babies travel well if you take precaution to avoid exposure to infections, excesses of heat etc.. Otherwise I keep them in until after their first vaccines.
