Yes : Neosporin is a good topical antibiotic to heal skin openings from cuts or other forms of trauma. It should not be used on rashes nor should it be used for a prolonged period of time.

Herpes simplex: If this is really genital herpes you need not be putting neosporin on the area.  It should resolve in about 14 days, but if getting worse or you feel poorly might be a good idea to see your doctor.  Good luck .

Infected wound: If the wound is having greenish or yellow color fluid/ discharge,  along with signs of inflammation like swelling, redness and severe pain;  i would consider that to be an infected wound.  If you have these signs and symptoms,  please get help from your physician.   Good luck !

Tetanus shot: Did you get a tetanus booster dose? If not, please do.
You may soak the bandage in Vaseline before applying to the raw area. If the wound has scabbed over, you may leave is uncovered.

R/O CELLULITIS: Cellulitis is a superficial skin infection that can be caused after an abrasion or rupture of a boil . Keep the area clean and apply topical antibiotics. Seek prompt evaluation for potential need of oral antibiotics/X-ray /labs/wound culture. F/U with your doctor if symptoms persist or worsen, oral antibiotics may be needed.

: Use any of the two antibiotics above. In future use a water based personal lubricant or jelly on penis to reduce friction.

Usually not: Most pink eye is due to virus and neosporin, an excellent anti-bacterial, will have no effect on classic pink eye.  Your ophthalmologist can recommend the best solution for you.

Use heat: Neosporin will have little or no effect. The best first treatment is to apply very warm soaks five to six times per day for 5 minutes each application.  This should get rid of it in 2-4 days,  if it persists longer than that, see your ophthalmologist.

Eye drops: I would suggest using warm moist compresses and an antibiotic eye drop such as neosporin.  Stand at the sink, get a washcloth good and warm and place it right on the affected area. When it cools, re-warm it. Use the heat for 3-5minutes.  Follow this with a drop of the antibiotic. Do it four times a day. If it does not resolve the problem you should see an ophthalmologist.  Good luck.

greetings!
i have psoriasis.  i have a patch of psoriasis on my arm slightly less than the size of a quarter.

for at least two weeks maybe three weeks there has been a scab over the spot. it will bleed sometimes.

it is not like the typical psoriasis of flakey skin. 
i have applied neosporin ointment and triamcinolone cream.

what is the issue?  treatment?

is there a way to share a picture?

i have never used this service before!  this is a first experience!

Psoriasis: Sometimes skin conditions like psoriasis can become infected or irritated more than usual. When this happens and it is important to treat, I would recommend that you do a video encounter where the doctor can see your rash and then make a better recommendation or send a prescription to your pharmacy online.
