YES: Over the counter pregnancy tests are usually correct.  Contact an ob/gyn to get good prenatal care early.  Also, see your dentist because women with periodontal (gum and bone disease) have a higher chance of delivery a pre-term baby and you need good dental care during your pregnancy.  Congratulations.

Pregnancy unlikely: But, one can retest after 1 more week. Generally, pregnancy is the most common cause of a missed period if a woman is having sex. If not pregnant, other causes of a late or missed period include:  excessive weight loss or weight gain, increased exercising, emotional stress, having an illness, traveling, medicines (especially birth control pills), hormonal disorders, etc…

Anovulation/pregnant: Although the chance is low, you could still be pregnant so you should get another pregnant test in a couple of days.  If you missed your menstrual cycle, and aren't pregnant, you may have pcos, a thyroid disorder, or another cause for anovulation. If you gained or lost weight over a short period of time, it may also cause your cycle to be irregular.  At your age this occurs more frequently.

Not if negative: Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. They are the same tests used in a doctors office. They can detect a pregnancy 7-10 days after conception.   If you doubt the result you can repeat it in 1-2 days. If you were pregnant the hormone level would rise enough for detection. After this much time clearly you are not pregnant. See your doctor for irregular periods.

Spotting: If you are not on any birth control it may be due to a fluctuation in your body's hormones. Often times this can be due to stress and be of no consequence. It will probably straighten out by itself.
