Go natural: How about coconut oil? That could be used naturally or you could use a hypollergenic conditioner. Good luck and see your doctor  to check for other things like tinea capitis.

people say hair grease (african american) clogs the scalp. is that true? they say it's cus of the petroleum and mineral oil. i use grease on my scalp.

Not really: Because your hair and scalp is so very dry. You need the oils to counteract the dryness. If there were clogs you would have sores.

You : You may have telogen effluvium, a condition where your hair falls out in clumps post-partum (after delivery of a child).  If it is telogen effluvium, the hair will come back, as you are losing hairs that are in the telogen- or resting phase.  Only time can treat telogen effluvium.  Nevertheless, you should seek out a specialist for a proper evaluation- i would suggest a dermatologist.

No: Use any skin cleanser which is not drying or irritating. You will need something for dry skin, especially for your lips and possibly inside your nose. Don't spend a lot of money on soap because you just need something not too caustic. Ask your dermatologist for samples.
