Try treatments, help: 1st, NLD is more common in women &amp; usually appears on the shin, so confirm the diagnosis with skin biopsy. 2nd, control your blood sugar to prevent more complications, though it will not help with the current lesions.  Though exact cause is unknown, TNF-a inhibitors have worked in some cases. Research studies &amp; I have had some success with long courses (90+) of treatment with hyperbaric oxygen.

Nothing Stellar.: Macrobiotic lesion treatments are at best, so so. Some include topical steroid creams, interlesional injections, whirlpool even various frequencies of light wave therapy. To remove all doubt, consult with a dermatologist for the latest therapeutic protocols.

Not likely: Necrobiosis lipoidica is a complication of diabetes, not sarcoidosis.

Leeches  leg ulcers: Leeches can be effective when an area has venous congestion; the leeches withdraw the blood from the congested area. Medicinal leeches are different than those obtained elsewhere. There are no studies of value showing that they help with infection.

Necrobiosis lipoid: I'm not aware of any natural meds for necrobiosis lipoidica.  While there is no definitive cure, there are various treatments that can help control the flareups.  Other than steroids, small studies have looked at tacrolimus, cyclosporine, Infliximab and hyperbaric oxygen therapy for flareups.  The latter may be the closest you'll get to a "natural" treatment.

can i use fosamax (alendronate) for jawbone necrobiosis?

No: Iv meds in the Fosamax (alendronate) category (bisphosphonates) have been implicated in causing osteonecrosis of the jaw. If you have this condition, i'd consult with your physician about the advisability of continuing on these meds if you are already taking them. If you live anywhere near a dental school or oral surgery residency program, i'd suggest being evaluated there as a first step.

Blood supply: A fibroid that has been embolized stops having adequate blood supply long term, usually a degenerating fibroid is growing more rapidly for some reason and has outgrown it's blood supply making it degenerate in the center which is frequently quite painful.

See dermatologist: Assuming you have had a biopsy to confirm the diagnosis, have you seen a dermatologist? Topical steroid is the usual first step, but you might need more specialized treatment.
