hello. i have a mole on my neck. it's very small and it sticks out and you can wiggle it. i heard that if you try to pop it like a pimple it will bleed. i've had it or years. how can i get rid of it?

PCOS more likely : Polycystic ovarian syndrome is a more likely cause of the hair loss and acne since this condition causes hormonal imbalances favoring more androgens which can cause hair loss and acne.   Sometimes hormonal birth control will be used to help.  You may do better on a different hormonal birth control pill that has a better estrogen effect.

Not serious: Small bumps in pubic areas are common.  It could be a form of acne called folliculitis.  It could also be common viral infections like hpv or others.  It is important to see your obgyn for an exam to get an accurate diagnosis.  They are usually easily treated.

Probably not: Furuncles or pimples can be associated with a significant amount of inflammation, and this can cause some bleeding when it is opened. This can be exaggerated if you are on nsaids or other drugs that affect clotting. Gentle pressure should stop the bleeding.

Stop: Toothpaste is for tooth cleaning, not acne treatment.  All you did was irritate your skin.  Toothpaste is for use in the mouth, not outside of it.  Where on the toothpaste tube does it say, "for treatment of acne?"  please call your pcp or a dermatologist for proper treatment regimen for acne.

Don’t pop pimples : Popping pimples is not recommended as the process may drive bacteria deeper into tissues.  If you bleed, stop it with pressure on the area, until a clot forms. Styptic pencil could be used to cauterize the area if needed. There are good OTC products for acne, and Rx products as well. Limit your dietary oils, and wash your face regularly with a gentle soap.

Tricky: dermatologic conditions are hard to discuss without seeing them. Boil, or other local infection is possible, but often these are surface manifestations of problems that run much deeper (deep infection, cysts, fistulas, etc)

It could be a simple: mole or keratosis or other conditions, but see your dermatologist for correct diagnosis

Hemorrhoid: This may be a small hemorrhoid or blood clot  which is not dangerous. Get some Anusol cream and apply twice a day inside and outside your anus. It should shrink up and disappear
