i have had neck pain for over a year. drs said it is from loss of neck curve. they give no explanation why its happening, keep saying its nothing to worry about, and give pain meds. i need to  a better option but don't what to do. i tried pt already.

See details: Please get a second opinion with a rheumatologist or orthopedist. The loss of the neck curve is usually the result of the problem not the cause of it.

what treatments should i get for moderate scoliosis and a reverse neck curve?

Varies: Usually a curve that is described as moderate is less than 45 degrees, those curves do not typically progress when a patient is done growing.  And so treatment would be based on symptoms, if not many symptoms no treatment needed.  If symptomatic, then meds or PT or chiropractic are usually tried as first line; if does not respond, then MRI may give more info.

i have stiffness in my right neck and shoulder in the middle of the curve that has been there for some years...i also have tingling i n my right leg, arm and face...the tingling increases as i massage my neck curve ? any ideas ? type of doctor ?

Common problem: It sounds like you may have the proverbial "pinched nerve" in your cervical spine.  Could be due to degenerative disc disease or a few other conditions. I would first suggest that you consult with an osteopathic physician {D.O.). He/she will examine you &amp;  will order imaging studies. The D.O. will then decide if osteopathic TX will help or give you a referral to an orthopedic surgeon.

i went to a chiropractor because of severe headaches and his x-ray showed that i have a reverse neck curve (cervical spine). what treatment should i receive for this? will adjustments by the chiropractor help?

Neck: if your headaches are from neck muscle spasms ( which would cause a reversal of your normal curve in your neck)  anti inflammatories and muscle relaxants and physical therapy should help.  Lots of chiropractic work is similar to physical therapy.  The key though is if your headaches are caused by your neck issue.

iv had many tests done on my neck for for years. inadvertently they find my neck bones curve in the wrong direction. how can this happen? can u treat

This can occur from: This can occur from tight  muscles. Your physicians will evaluate the neck and look at the muscles, discs, the nerves and the bones. Your physican can evaluate you for these  issues.

can having a straight neck (reverse curve) cause headaches? im seeing a chiro but is acupuncture and/or pt better? headaches for 4 weeks. chiro for 2 weeks is only making minimal progress?

Suggestions: Would definitely NOT have a chiropractor snap or crack your neck.. Gentle traction would be allowed only.  Far better and safer would be acupuncture and physical therapy.  Would also have your doctor aware of your situation.

Possible: Curvature of neck is normal but straightening may also present no significant problem as long as no neurological signs. You can recreate the curve but strengthening may help.

do lymph nodes always swell up on both side of neck? had sore throat and now i feel a small lump on the right side of neck just below the curve of jaw

Lymphadenopathy: Frequently, the lymph nodes respond to local infection or inflammation and are unilateral in the neck when the source of inflammation is on one side. If the node is not resolved after the infection is successfully treated, seel additional medical attention.

i have a hunch back curve on my neck; please help?

Several poss. causes: 'hunchback' can be due to compression fractures of the vertebrae, but can also have causes such as steroid use, which cause a 'fat pad' to enlarge in the area, and functional causes such as weak vertebral ligaments, spasms of tiny muscles which control vertebral motion, and even problems with the ribs or the muscles between the ribs.  Many of these causes are treatable by an osteopathic doctor.
