No pain, no problem: Cracking of your joints including the neck/back has not been shown to have any ill effect as long as in doing so it is not causing you any pain. Lifting weight basically pulls on the muscles of your neck and that can cause cracking--quite common. If you have significant pain/stiffness that is adversely affecting your life/work/sleep etc...Consult your doc for an evaluation. Good luck.

Take care of the: cough! Cracking doesn't mean anything more than articulation of the joint. The joint is moving! If it stops moving and you strain or injure it, then you'll have to have it treated! So take care of the bronchitis by visiting your PCP and getting an inhaler on board or more depending on what s/he finds out during the exam!

Cervical strain: Sounds like you may have cervical muscle strain and disc inflammation .  Try warm compress to improve circulation, use cold compress if any more acute pain develops. Try gentle neck stretching exercises.  Over the counter Aleve, Tylenol (acetaminophen) or ibuprofen may benefit you.  You may Also want to try vitamin D3 and glucosamine. Chiropractor: You should see a chiropractor. He/she can help get your neck in proper alignment and work to strengthen it so it makes less "rice krispies" and does not hurt. Very few traditional medicine options for hypermobility in setting of subluxed vertebrae.

i have been having pain around my left shoulder blade. its been happening for a few days now. sometimes my upper area around shoulders hurt. what can be causing this? i also notice my neck cracks a lot?

: Was it injured? If the pain is not getting better, you should see a doctor and at least have it x-rayed. You may need an MRI to find out what the etiology of your pain is. You may need to see orthopedics. Good luck!

my neck cracks up the back of my head when i turn my head to the left every time i do it? it does not hurt. i recently had a chiropractor crack my neck for this and he said it should go away in about 2 days or so. it has not. should i be worried?

Depends: If you injury muscles, ligaments or tendons, it will cause problem but usually it does not cause problems. However, it's wise not to do that.

does crepitus go away on its own? i foolishly made the choice to see a chiropractor one time. did one neck adjustment. the past week my base of neck cracks if i tilt my head side to side. no pain, just weird. will this go away on its own typically?
