How is yr hydration?: Common things to do that-muscle strain, electrolyte imbalances, dehydration. I would hydrate well, check blood work. Massage if it does not hurt. Still does not get better, I would go see a physician. Good luck.

why do i have shoulder cramps every morning when i wake up?

Could be many things: Big list:  muscle spasms from position when you sleep; poor support from mattress/pillow; poor 'posture' changing the alignment of the bones & pinching a nerve; gallstones; night-time activities of which you are unaware (sleepwalking, sleep apnea, moving a lot in dreams); bending your neck in positions that would be uncomfortable if your were awake, etc.  Try memory foam pillow 1st; see dr.!

Hard to say: The most common symptoms seen with pulmonary embolism (lung blood clot) are shortness of breath, cough, some chest pain, sometimes coughing up of blood, elevated temperature above 100.4, and sometimes swelling and pain in one of the lower legs. If you are experiencing any of those symptoms, go to the ER immediately for workup. You are very young to have this, but it can happen, albeit rarely.

Heavy is the head...: Your head is an immense object. Weights at least 15 to 20 pounds, as it's a large ball of bone filled with water and "other stuff". If your shoulders and neck are holding it in a bad posture, or in the same position for awhile, you'll strain the neck muscles. Typing long periods, driving, etc can do it. Getting a better posture, moving around, and changing activity will help.

Muscular...: If you have not suffered any injuries this is most likely related to a muscle spasm. Ice and anti-inflammatory meds(like ibuprofen) should help with symptoms. If you have suffered recent head or neck injury go to the nearest urgent care center for evaluation.

Recently having received a triple bypass you may have been started on medications who's side effect are cramps. Please discuss this in detail with your physician. Physical therapy, hydration and medications such as Valium may be of use. Cyclobenzaprine is containdicated in recent bypass.
