Yes: It will regrow. Wash with soap and water. Keep dry. And covered.

Staph? Herpes?: Bacterial infections in this location are called paronychia, usually due to common bacteria like staph or strep. Or it can be herpes (i.e. herpetic whitlow). If staph etc, it may need to be opened and drained, plus the correct antibiotic. If herpes, it will improve with acyclovir or valacyclovir, but should not be opened and drained. This should be professionally evaluated ASAP. Good luck!

: What you describes does not put you at risk for any infection. Go to the bathroom, as you need.

: It is unlikely that you will lose the nail but it will take a months for a new nail to grow from the base &amp; push the bloody undersurface out.  That said, the blood underneath the nail acts just like a scab on your skin.  Once the active bleeding has stopped, &amp; clot forms, there is very little risk of any infection.  There should be no reason that would prevent you from enjoying a dip in the ocean.

Yes: You can try tea tree oil, vick's vapo rub or duct tape. These are easy to buy over the counter.

Fungal nail: There are many treatments for fungal nails , probably none of which is truly the best.  There are many anecdotal  treatments that swirl around the market periodically.   Your best course of action is to  see your podiatrist for an evaluation , diagnosis and treatment plan .

Depends: On your overall health and preference. There is no guarantee for cure but if healthy, oral medication or laser seem to have the best results. However, topical medication and proper care will probably always be needed to minimize recurrence anf repeated treatmemts in future may be necessary.

Terbinafine: Oral terbinafine is the most reliable treatment for toenail fungus. It requires a prescription and most drs.Will do some blood work. It still leaves a lot to be desired and toenail fungus has a fairly high recurrence rate.

Get the nail out...: If the offending corner of the nail plate is removed you may not need ant antibiotics.  See a podiatrist for treatment.
