A bit too early: The exact time for reliable chlamydia testing by NAAT isn't certain, but 3 days probably is a bit early. A negative result would be somewhat reassuring, but probably not conclusive. It would be safer to wait until 5 days or so, unless there is some urgency (e.g. if you have abdominal pain or other symptoms of a complication like PID).

A few possibilities: It is hard when people have one positive and one negative result on a test. Possible interpretations are: 1. The neg tests were false and the + test is correct 2. The neg tests were true and the + test is incorrect 3. Both are correct and you acquired it between tests. You and your doctor who know you can determine that best course of action. Consider testing your partner.

Are good: These tests are good test.I am presuming these were urine test and that you had not urinated at least an hour before the test or first in am test.If that is the case very good test.Regardness,the test are not foolproof and need to practice safe sex.Als they are not the only STD.did you get Other test also-Hiv,syphillis,hepatitis,etc

ANSWER: ABSOLUTELY YOU COULD TEST HAVE THE CHLAMYDIA IN THE PROSTATE INSPITE OF NEGATIVEURINALYSIS  PROSTATE CULTURES ARE NOT EASY TO COLLECT NOR REPORT OUT.

: You asked this question yesterday with different wording. There is no need for testing if you are asymptomatic and your sex partner for 18 months was recently tested negative.

over the last year i have had mucus strings in urine. heavier in the morning and fewer as the day progresses. three naat urine tests show negative for gonorrhea and chlamidia. any ideas on what could be causing this?

: I assume there is no mixture of your urine with bowel movements.I assume you have no symptoms of urinary burning,frequency,or urgency.  Tiny amounts of mucus in urine is usually not significant but large amounts, especially with an odor, is different. A urinalysis with microscopic examination would give an idea of how much mucus is present&amp;see if pus cells are present. ?Had culture ?Saw urologist.

Probably conclusive: The result is conclusive for gonorrhea, but might be a bit early for chlamydia. Test again after 4-5 days for absolute certainty.
