It could be a sign of irritation of your final outlet by the breakdown products of germs in the bladder or the outlet tube in your penis.If you are sexually active it can be one of many std's transmitted through intimate contact. An exam & testing are needed.

An infection: Might represent an infection or medicine or vitamin eliminated with the urine. Any pain? If there is pain than is an infection. Any med introduced over the last month. If cannot clarify this way need a urinalysis, see a doc.

Dehydration: When you haven't been drinking enough fluids, your urine can become dark yellow and concentrated. That may cause it to have a strong smell. Certain foods can also contribute to this, the most notable of these is asparagus. B vitamin supplements can do it, as well, and these are found in large amounts in green vegetables and meats. People with kidney damage get foamy urine from protein in urine.

Not sure, but...: Not sure about urine smelling musty. Urine can smell stronger (more ammonia / urea odor) if one isn't drinking enough water. It can smell like ketones during fasting or certain medical problems. Some foods give urine odd aromas, such as after eating asparagus. A primary care doctor can evaluate if one keeps having such aroma symptoms, to rule out a urine infection, and look for other causes.

Strong urine odor...: ...usually doesn't mean anything important -- mostly related to what you eat and fluid intake. I'm not sure how to interpret "hot" urine. If it just feels warm as you pass urine, plus odor and maybe darker color, just drink more fluids which might clear it up. If painful or "burning" to pass urine, and/or urgent or small volumes, possible urinary tract infection. If so, see a doctor right away.

Are you dehydrated?: The most common thing is   - not drinking enough water,  if you are well hydrated, seeing an md and having urine tested for infection or other urine problems would be helpful, but most likely - drink more water!   80oz or so a day.

Yes, if concentrated: Urine can very in appearance for almost water-like when dilute to dark yellow when maximally concentrated.  There tends to be ammonia like odor to the more concentrated urine.  The presence of foul-smelling urine usually represents a urinary infection.
