my throat is very dry and no matter how much i drink it remains dry and my nose feels blocked however when i blow it noting comes out what cud this be?

Its your nose: The constantly stuffy nose leads to mouth breathing which in turn leads to your dry mouth and throat. Fix your nose and the mouth and throat improve. Allergies, chronic infection, anatomical blockages all can be involved. As an ENT doctor i think starting with an ENT evaluation makes the mot sense.

i've had the cold from xmas day, been taking beecham's all-in one, blocked nose and got stuff at back of throat, dry mouth, dry throat .. any ideas?

? sinusitis: you want to see your doctor, as you may need prescription medications as antibiotics, meanwhile, fluids, saline washes, and salt water gargles would be helpful, good luck

Hay fever: You likely have allergic rhinitis with contact headaches (? sinus infection). The dry throat is from mouth-breathing.   Have you tried nasal steroid?

URI: can very well be viral Upper Respiratory Tract Infection. So rest, fluids , painkillers, unless contraindicated, salt water gargles and saline nasal washes, if no improvement in 24-48 hours see your doctor, good luck

i have had really bad acid reflux for over 3 months now. what should i do? i feel like i have constant irritation in my throat and a constant sore throat/dry throat feeling so i have to drink water to keep it not dry.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. If you are overweight, losing weight will help  If you are not overweight it would be prudent to see your doctor.

Influenza usually: Manifests with severe headache, cough, and high fevers.  Home remedies are antipyretics, antihistamines, cough supressants, and decongestants, all otc.  Make sure you stay well hydrated, use a vaporizer, rest, and avoid allergens.  See a doctor if it lasts more than a week.  Good luck.

Cant tell. : It's impossible to tell without seeing you, but i can say i would not do much either way other than wait. A cold has no cure and should resolve without intervention. I would take the Claritin (loratadine) and see if that helped. If it did not i would try pseudoephedrine. If it is still not resolving in 2 weeks i would see a doctor. I would go sooner if it is getting worse. Feel better.
