Possibly...: Viruses, bacteria,, acid reflux, swollen lymph nodes. You should be examined by your doctor for the best testing (strep, mono) and treatment

Dr. can check throat: Throat symptoms can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics are needed), a cold or influenza (antibiotics usually not used), or from other causes like allergies, thrush, or irritants, etc... Usually, a person sees the doctor if the sore throat is bothersome, recurrent or doesn't go away quickly (mainly to check for strep). Throat lozenges and acetaminophen can help lessen pain temporarily.

have had tight feeling in my upper left arm & shoulder plus sometimes feels like my throat is tight or has a lump or my glands are swollen?

Are you ok Now?: If the symptoms lasts for more than 30 minutes and if you have any risk factors for Heart attack( Personal or Family history of MI before age 60, High Cholestrerol.,High BP, Diabetes are the main ones then yo should be in ED. Take Aspirin and chew it.
 If none of above then may be Anxiety- Panic attack or Allergy or Reflux  But these are not emergency

Tight throat: Surprised your ENT doctor wasn't able to figure out what's going on. If food is getting stuck in your throat, that is not good. Highly recommend you see your ENT doctor again one more time or see another one for second opinion if the first one is not able to help you.

Check for sinusitis: Swollen glands in the neck are generally the result of chronic sinus drainage or other head and neck inflamation especially in young otherwise healthy individuals.  You should seek the attention of a medical doctor to better assess the situation or an ENT doctor.

my throat has felt very swollen and very tight however is is not sore. it has been like this consistently for a week. could it be strep?

Possibly: Strep is a bacterial infection often associated with tonsillitis. There is generally a sore throat red papules on the tongue and white plaques on the tonsil or back of throat normally a fever is present. A simple visit to a clinic would reveal if its strep with a swab. Strep needs antibiotics. This may be a simple post nasal drip in early allergy season but if you start to feel ill get tested.
