Normal?: None of what you describe is normal. Your own physician can answer your questions about treating you for Strep and your dentist can evaluate your teeth and gums.

Yes: They still give you nicotine which has been proven harmful to oral health. OTOH, you get exposed less to other noxious ingredients in conventional cigarette smoke. This hasn't been well studied but my take is that they are bad but perhaps less bad than cigarettes. Of course this depends on the frequency and type of liquid nicotine you use. By far best to avoid nicotine altogether.

i floss regularly and floss many times throughout the day out if habit. could this be bad for my teeth and gums though, although my gums never bleed.

You should be fine..: Flossing is not abrasive and does not use any harsh products. Done correctly, you will not be damaging your gums. Flossing will go a very long way in keeping your contacts points cavity free and your gums healthy, as evidenced by you inflammation free mouth!

Not really: I am unaware that transplant recipients who take immunosuppressive drugs including tacrolimus will have trouble with dental hygiene; as long as you listen to your dentist and brush and floss your teeth as instructed, and get timely examinations.

Not the Vodka: It's not the vodka, but more likely the talking, eating and probably clenching and\or grinding your teeth while you were sleeping.

Depends.: The whitening gels come in various strengths. The higher the concentration or strength, the quicker and more emphatic the lightening
can be achieved. However, teeth will become very sensitive with certain intensities of the gels. Each person is different; some can
tolerate the higher percentages, others can not. The good thing: even the smallest concentration of whitening gel will work over time.

i'm 45 years old. my teeth and gums are in great condition. i brush, floss, and scrap my tongue. however, i still have chronic bad breath. i've got blood tests done but nothing came out. what should i do?

Monitor : Lets attack this from several angles: increase brushing to 5 minutes one time per day behind last teeth, tops, cheek and tongue sides & floss first. You can brush more than once per day but one time needs to be for 5 min. Now monitor your diet. Cut out the usual suspects for 10 days (onion, garlic, pizza, thai food, smoking, coffee on an empty stomach..) and see how you do.

3 Keys: 3 keys to oral health: brush/floss twice a day, see your dental team as often as you can, and avoid all destructive habits (smoking, unprotected contact sports, teeth clenching/grinding, nail biting, etc.). Oral health is important not just for nutrition and speech, but overall health, wellness, and longevity as well. Luckily, it's pretty easy to have a healthy mouth if you're motivated.
