You can reduce it...: But it doesn't really go away. Baby's and children's skin is usually more sensitive, and as adults they may show less syptoms, but eczema doesn't really go away completely. Use a gentle soap and a daily moisturizer. Try to identify triggers and avoid them. This will reduce flare ups, but unless there is one specific trigger, which is rare, it's hard to keep it away for good.

Eczema : Try white petroleum vaseline or a moisturizing cream and cover with moist cotton T shirt. All the best.

Once the eczema clears, involved skin may become lighter due to loss of pigmentation. Return of pigmentation can takes wks to yrs. Treatment involves watchful waiting while using cosmetic cover-ups, laser, &amp; more. Pimples sound unrelated; visual exam is needed. See your doctor.

Multiple modalities!: Eczema is treated in a few ways. The mainstay of treatment is usually either topical steroid creams or immunomodulaters. Keep in mind though that eczema is a chronic, recurring condition so there truly isnt a cure,  but there are methods to keep it under control. Using mild soaps like dove, and thick moisturizing creams daily, like eucerin or cetaphil is recommended. Antihist used for itch control.

Good Skin Hygiene: Avoid long hot showers and harsh and drying cleansers. Apply fragrance-free moisturizer like Vanicream. Use at least twice a day. For eczema flares, apply prescription strength corticosteroid ointments to problem areas twice a day until clear. Wet dressings (wet wraps) at night, phototherapy, and chlorine baths if more severe.
