Avoid scratching or rubbing the itchy area. Manage stress.

Throw away the spong: STOP SCRUBBING. Forget you ever heard of "exfoliating". Your skin turns over every 10 days and needs no help. Use a skin cleanser with pH of 9-10 such as Dove, Eucerin, Aveeno, (oatmeal) Neutrogena, etc. Immediately after toweling from shower, rub in a ceramide cream such as Eucerin, Aveeno, (oatmeal) Neurtogena, CeraVe, etc., generics.
