Hard to say: YOu have provided no history but here are a few things to think about. What kind of activity are you doing? ARe you just walking or are you an athlete and doing some kind of exercise. ARE you walking and have strained a muscle.  ARe you using a treadmill or ellipitical that you might have strained your leg. See an ortho to make sure and you may need some PT to make it better

hi, i have had lower back pain since the end of january. since then the majority of the pain has switched to the right side of my butt and my right thigh. the pain stops at the knee. i also have considerable tightness in my thigh which has been spasming.

R L3 nerve problem: During your c-section i presume you were awake with a spinal or epidural.  The anesthesia may have caused a right sided compression on the lumbar -l3 nerve to your right thigh causing persistent numbness, pain, 'stinging' .  It should improve with time but an lumbar MRI may help sort out the diagnosis. Hope you are better soon!

i have a horizontal thumb width 1/32"  dent in my right thigh, any ideas?  no pain, not very visible but i can feel it with my fingers.

Scar tissue?: It is difficult to say without seeing or examining your thigh - but this could be a band of fibrous or scar tissue in your thigh. Other possibilities include loss of subcutaneous fatty tissue - after trauma or an injection in the area.

i have a dent and a bulge under it on my right thigh. i had muscle pain and now my knee looks swollen and is giving out when weight bearing. ?

More information: is needed,,,Although usually BILATERAL you may have COMPARTMENTAL SYNDROME a syndrome in young people ...mostly athletes...AT age 17 there are only a few possibilities. Ask question again and describe your ACTIVITIES!  Just a thought!

Sciatica: Most common cause would be degenerative disc with nerve irritation.

Thigh pain: It can be. Also problems with your hip joint can give you thigh pain and back ache. Also problems present in the pelvis can give you back ache and thigh pain. Best to have a good history and examination done to arrive at diagnosis in order to advise treatment.

Neural irritation: There are several causes of low back pain and thigh pain.  Problems with the hip joint can often cause back/buttock pain that radiates to the groin and thigh.  Irriation to the lumbar nerve roots in the lower back can also cause leg pain.  Thigh pain is often seen with irritation to the l2, l3, and/or occasionally L4 nerve roots.
